To
operationalise the business plan, the BOSS will require a total of Z$155
million. Of this amount approximately Z$71 million spread over five
years must be raised from donors. On the basis of detailed financial
projections, it is envisaged that Z$84 million will be covered through
earned income from the service centres.

For
additional information on the BOSS project, the business plan details the
programme objectives, content, budget and strategies of a proposed business
centre based in the rural areas of Chimanimani.
It is the result of several sessions of joint planning, collaborations
and study efforts undertaken by Zimbabwe Opportunities
Industrialisation Centres, the Chimanimani Business Trust, Development
Technology Centre, the Chimanimani Rural District Council, the W.K.
Kellogg Foundation and external consultants for the purpose of directly
assisting in the development and advancement of Chimanimani’s informal sector
participants.
