WHY THE BOSS?

The BOSS seeks to bring development in its various forms closer to the people of the Chimanimani area by giving them access to: 

Basic forms of communication and technology such as the telephone, a fax machine, a word processor and a photocopying machine.
Business development services, including but not limited to: budgeting, record-keeping, marketing and costing.
Productive machinery such as peanut butter and candle making machines in order to create income-generating opportunities.
Current and up-to-date information on various business and social issues affecting rural communities.
Microfinance services such as credit and savings facilities.

The consistent presence of the BOSS in the Chimanimani area will further assist members in the following ways:

Eliminates the need to travel to multiple destinations to complete several tasks.
Decreases the costs and time associated with frequent travel to numerous venues in order to accomplish several tasks.
Creates informed and knowledge-based rural communities.
Serves as a centrally and conveniently located meeting place to hold gatherings and community events.
