SECRETARIAT There are presently five people in the Secretariat. One includes the Executive Director, who is responsible for the overall implementation of the programmes, realisation of ZOIC’s vision, fundraising and marketing of the training curriculum. The Administration and Finance Officer is responsible for financial issues, cash flow management, audits and internal controls. Support staff includes the office secretary, who is responsible for completing and executing daily administrative tasks, as well as the driver/messenger. A pool of Associate Trainers are also available when there is a training programme. The organisation is well aware of the fact that it cannot effectively grow and deliver quality products to its target markets if it does not first build in-house expertise and institutional strength. As ZOIC matures, its strategy will change and in order to become more effective, knowledgeable and efficient providers of services to the growing numbers of disadvantaged Zimbabweans, it must develop, improve and increase its human resources and their intellectual capacities. TENDAI
CHIPANDAMBIRA
is the administrative assistant. She has a diploma in Secretarial
Studies and serves as the secretariat's Office Administrative Secretary. CAROLINE MUREVI has been ZOIC's Associate Trainer since 1998. She holds an Agri-Business Honours Degree from Australia. She has participated in the ILO/IYB Training of Trainers as well as ZOIC's Associate Trainers' Course, and CDG Germany's Organisational Training and Marketing course.
