Our Services:
ZOIC offers a
wide range of services and products with the objective to help increase income,
productivity, and the employment capabilities of our TARGET
GROUPS: those who are poor,
disadvantaged and unemployed, particularly women, people with disabilities and
unskilled youth. ZOIC also assists
other non-governmental organisations and institutions committed to
entrepreneurial development as a strategy for poverty alleviation and wealth
creation. ZOIC’s four major
service areas are:
 |
Business
start-up training: Self-employment training and business development support
services to assist participants in starting their own businesses.
This training motivates participants to consider self-employment in
the informal sector as a viable career option.
It also arms them with the skills needed to identify and capitalize
on business opportunities.
|
 |
Business
improvement training: Business management training and advisory services for
those already in business. This
program assists entrepreneurs in the areas of good business practices such
as marketing, credit management and general financial management skills such
as bookkeeping and costing.
|
 |
Training
of trainers (TOT): Technical assistance, organisational development and
capacity building training for national and local community associations,
government departments and other NGOs providing services to those who
operate in the informal sector.
|
 |
Assistance
in credit access: ZOIC aims to assist selected participants in acquiring
financial (specifically, credit) services through its business start-up and
business improvement training programmes as well as through other
institutions with which it will form collaborative linkages. The organisation has made tremendous strides in this
endeavour through the Chimanimani Business
One-Stop Shop .
