JOHN CHITEKUTEKU has served
as ZOIC’s Board Chairman since inception in 1998.
He is currently the director of the Glen Forest Training Centre.
Mr. Chitekuteku holds a list of educational qualifications, which
include: Masters in Policy Studies SARIPS, SAPES Zimbabwe 1998, Bachelor of
Education Degree Agriculture Bed, University of Zimbabwe (UZ) 1988, Diploma in
Environmental Education and Communication 1989, Post Graduate Diploma in
Education (Agriculture) 1985, Secondary School Teaching Certificate Agriculture,
GTC 1974, Organisational Development Studies CDRA, South Africa 1992, and
Management Development Course SADC Regional Training Centre 1993.
He was an advisory committee member of the UNDP Africa 2000 Network from
1990 to 1995; an advisory board member of Silveira House from 1990 to 1999; and
from 1991 to 1997 was an advisory board member of Employment Creation and

PHILLIP
BOHWASI is the Founder Executive Director responsible for the institutional
upgrading of ZOIC in 1998. Mr.
Bohwasi acts as the secretary of the board.
From the University of Zimbabwe, Phillip holds a Diploma in Social Work 1987, Bachelor in Social Work 1990, and a Masters
in Policy Studies 1999. He has
extensive knowledge on project works and possesses over thirteen years of
experience in business development. Mr.
Bohwasi is currently organising a capacity building initiative for the
Chimanimani Business Trust, whose major activities include: identifying
community-based enterprises, training and creating local enterprises, and
setting up a community business centre to serve as a one-stop shop for small and
medium-scale businesses in Chimanimani. Contact:

SBONGILE
SIBANDA holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree as well as Diplomas in Training and
Personnel Management and Marketing and Public Relations; the latter is with the
London Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Currently,
she is studying part-time for a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
Ms. Sibanda is in her third year. On
a full-time basis, she works for SAMCAF as the Microfinance Training Specialist.
Prior to SAMCAF, she served as the training manager for a microfinance
institution and as Small Enterprise Development Officer for the International
Labour Organisation (ILO). Ms.
Sibanda has undertaken a number of training assignments for various
organisations in the Southern African Region.
She brings over 11 years of experience in working with development
institutions in the area of tra

DOREEN
MUNYATI-NYAMUKAPA is a lawyer by profession.
Currently, she is the vice-president of the Zimbabwe Industrial Relations
Association and a member of the International Industrial Relations Association.
She was formerly employed by FOS Belgium as a Programme Officer, dealing with labour
relations consultant and coordinating activities for organisations in Zimbabwe,
Namibia and South Africa. She also
served as a Project Manager on an ILO project called “ Promoting Employment

ALBERT VOTE MUROVE obtained
a Master of Science Degree in International Relations from the UZ in 1992.
Prior to his Masters, he earned a Bachelor of Laws LLB in 1986 and a
Bachelor of Law (Honours) in 1985 also from the UZ.
Presently, he works for Ministry of Defence as Chief Legal Advisor,
providing legal advice and opinions to the Minister of Defence and Commander of
Defence Forces on all issues relating to signing, accession, ratification and/or
adoption by the government of Zimbabwe of all international treaties,
conventions and or protocols administered by the Minister of Defence.
Mr. Murove also researches, studies and examines legal, political and
other implications relating to signature, ratification or accession of
international treaties by the government of Zimbabwe. He is in responsible for offering legal opinions and drafting
and vetting international and local contracts on the purchase of equipment and
machinery. Lastly, Albert reviews
and drafts regulations and legislation relating to the conditions of service and
discipline of the members of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces.

BECKY
MASAWI is currently employed by Century Advisory Services Pvt Ltd as General
Manager. Century Advisory is a
subsidiary of Century Holdings, a leading financial holding company in Zimbabwe.
He holds a Master of Business (Banking and Finance) and a Bachelor of Science in
Economics. He is also an Associate
of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in Zimbabwe.
Prior to employment with Century Advisory Services, Mr. Masawi worked for
six years at Old Mutual Zimbabwe in the actuarial and investments department and
was head of research of the Economic and Investment Group at
Kingdom Securities Holdings Limited for three years. His greatest contribution to the Board is consultations and
advice on economic and finance issues, especially those that impact on informal

ANDREW CHIKASHA is the
treasurer of the board and brings to it experience in business analysis.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Studies degree from the University of
Zimbabwe and recently obtained his Masters Degree in Business Administration
from the UZ in 2002. He is the Turn-Around Strategist for the Ministry of Youth
Development, Gender and Employment Creation.
Prior to his work with the Ministry, he worked in the private sector in
wholesale trade and with the Government in the Accounts and Internal Audit
